Fuller Valve offers a wide range of Elastomeric and Composite Fabric Expansion Joints for flue gas and other ducting applications and process conditions.

Our sales team and engineering department will assist you in selecting suitable materials and expansion joint designs made to order for your new or existing installations.

Benefits of Elastomeric and Composite expansion joints

  • Lighter weight than metallic expansion joints.
  • Reduced shipping and installation costs.
  • Lower spring rates and end loads
  • Higher movement capacity with shorter length
  • Absorb Axial, Lateral and Torsional movements
  • Reduced vibration and noise
  • Improved corrosion and chemical resistance

Available in round or rectangular shapes and several configurations Elastomeric Flue Duct Expansion Joints are offered for applications with operating temperatures up to 400 oF.

Elastomeric expansion joints are typically 1/8" or 1/4" thick with one or two plies of fiberglass, polyester, nylon or Kevlar reinforcement. Neoprene, EPDM and Flouroelastomers are the most commonly used elastomer however we can offer other materials including white FDA grade for food and pharmaceutical applications.

Elastomeric Flue Duct Expansion Joints are normally rated +/- 3 psi, however at Fuller Valve we can manufactured custom designed round and rectangular expansion joints for working pressures up to 15 psi while still maintaining flexibility

Composite Fabric Expansion Joints are an effective solution for applications above 400 oF and up to 2000oF.

Depending on the service conditions this multi-layered construction consists of different specific combinations of fiberglass reinforced fluoropolymer, TFE film, woven fiberglass retainer plies, thermal insulation barrier and optional insulation pillow to enhance thermal capacity and reduce dust buildup.
